Hey all,
So this is my first blog since being in texas! whoohoo! Texas is awesome. Interning with Wayne Northup is great. I love him alot. Classes are awesome. But I miss you all :(.
I want to blog about distractions. Luke 10:38-42. Read it please
Mary sat at the feet of Jesus. She stopped what she was doing, didn't worry about anything and just sat at his feet listening to what he had to say. v. 40 "But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made." What is distracting you from stopping and sitting at the feet of Jesus and listening to what he has to say? It is probably not bad things you are doing that is distracting you. She was worried about the preparations, so basically she was trying to get everything set for Jesus and the disciples. Take time out of your busy schedule and sit at the feet of Jesus and LISTEN to what he has to say. Jesus said that His sheep know his voice. Maybe you aren't hearing God because you are distracted and you aren't taking time to Listen! Stop your preparations and LISTEN! Be still and know that God is good.
"If you want to have a heart like Jesus, let God have you. Spend time listening for him until you receive your lesson for the day; then apply it."- Max Lucado.
"The Bible is my all-sufficient guide for faith and daily living!"-Dr. Bartel
How do you expect to do ministry, serve people well, love people well, etc. if you don't stop and listen to what he has to say?
God is not a product of ministry, ministry is a product of God.
The fruit of your ministry will be the result of your prayer life.
I love you all. You are like oreo's in my milkshake.
